Our school has participated in the “On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services” (project) of The Spastics Association of Hong Kong (SAHK) which is subsidized by the Social Welfare Department.
SAHK has a professional team including social workers, special education teachers, speech therapists and occupational therapists, etc., providing free on-site evaluation and training for children with special educational needs.
According to the regulations of the Social Welfare Department, the eligibility for this service must be linked to a registered status for pre-school Rehabilitation Services (Early Education and Training Centre, Integrated Programme in Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre and Special Child Care Centre). Parents of the eligible children are required to undergo qualification examination by the Social Welfare Department and waiting for their turns.

We have been promoting “Nurturing Seeds Kindergarten Social Work Service” with the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) since 2018. HKFWS is one of the major charitable non-governmental social welfare organizations in Hong Kong. It takes a family-centric perspective in providing high quality and professional services to help people improve their lives, and to strength and support family well-being.
“Nurturing Seeds Kindergarten Social Work Service” offers preventive and developmental services to children and families through case counselling, group activities for children, parent talks, teacher training programs and professional referral. Workers are dedicated to provide timely assistance to the families in need, strengthen the family function and also to deliver physical and mental support for the teaching staff.
